We have all probably had someone throw a birthday party for us at least once in our life. Chances are you remember what gifts you were given. As we come upon the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we celebrate God’s greatest gift to mankind. Why is Jesus God’s greatest gift? Jesus is God’s greatest gift because Jesus was born to repair the broken relationship between us and God. The birth of Jesus Christ was necessary to pay for the sin of ALL mankind. This isn’t just God’s greatest gift, it is THE GREATEST GIFT EVER GIVEN.
Celebrate the birth of Christ with your own re-birth. Don’t feel bad if you don’t understand what re-birth is. Nicodemus was considered an intelligent man and didn’t understand when Jesus told him the same thing. Jesus told Nicodemus that NO ONE could see the kingdom of God unless they were born again. This basically means you must leave your past behind you. ALL your old nature of sin must be left in the past. To be born again means to start over and start new. I encourage you to read John chapter 3. As long as you are breathing there is time to be reborn but since we cant predict whether we will still be breathing in 5 minutes, right now is the perfect time for you to repent of your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you. Right now is the time to be reborn.
