The Star of Bethlehem -Unlock the Mystery of the World’s Most Famous Star
“We saw His star in the east and we have come to worship Him.” – Matthew 2:2
Scholars debate whether the Star of Bethlehem is a legend created by the early church or a miracle that marked the advent of Christ. Is it possible that the star was a real, astronomical event? From Producer Stephen McEveety (The Passion of the Christ) comes an amazing documentary on the Star of Bethlehem. This presentation, as seen by tens of thousands in the U.S. and in Europe, explores the exciting truth of scripture and reveals the evidence for God’s existence as seen in the stars above. Presenter Rick Larson walks you through Biblical and historical clues revealing the incredible significance of this celestial event as well as the vastness of God’s creativity. Discover the secret of the Star – a secret of magnificent beauty…
This has been a popular documentary about the Star of Bethlehem it seems, but there are significant flaws that undo the the hypothesis, from dating the events to the astrological interpretation of the conjunctions to fitting what the Gospel of Matthew describes. You may enjoy considering those issues when viewing the documentary in the future:

Aaron Adair is not very nice in his comment. It is true that Larson cuts some corners in his reasoning. The main error is that what matters is how the magi would interpret the signs, and their reference system was completely different than others. If they came from Babylon, we actually know how they would interpret both signs: that the king of Akkad (i.e. Mesopotamia) would die and that a new dynasty would take the throne. Intriguingly enough, the agent of this change is “the King of Amurru”, an area from Syria in the north to Israel in the south. I discuss this further at http://www.starofbethlehem.com
