Jesus told us to become disciples, NOT merely believers. Jesus calls us into a dynamic and growing relationship with our Lord & Savior.
Once we become believers, we are expected by Jesus to grow into His disciples. We should expect Jesus to ask all believers about His job description for us. This is called the Great Commission and each of us should be prepared to answer for our obedience to it when we meet Jesus face to face. We are also responsible for making other disciples and teaching them to obey Jesus. We would like to personally encourage you to seek out a Bible-based, Christ centered church (If you need help, contact us, and we will help you find a church) (www.sdrock.com/live) that will help you learn how to do this.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
Great message! I am deciple. Teaching my kids about loving Christ.
